Replace Similar Text runs entirely on your computer. It does not send page content, replacement pairs, or settings to a server, and it does not use analytics or ads.
Folders, replacement pairs, matching rules, and interface language are saved in
chrome.storage.local for this extension only. They are not synced to
other devices unless you export a file yourself.
The extension can read visible text on pages you open so it can replace names and terms you configured. It does not collect browsing history and does not upload page text.
storage — save your folders and settings on this device.
activeTab — Scan and Restore on the tab you are looking at.
scripting — inject the bundled local scripts into that tab if needed. No remote scripts.
Host access — replacements must work on whichever site you read on. Page content is not sent off the device.
Visible page text is read locally so replacements can run. This text is not uploaded, sold, or used for advertising or tracking.
None. All JavaScript ships inside the extension package.
